Liverpool Boys High School is a comprehensive school serving a multi-cultural community. The school includes many students from a background of socio-economic disadvantage.
Liverpool Boys High School is a learning community. We believe all students can learn well. To this end we strive to create a caring, supportive environment in which each student is challenged in his learning to become the best he can be as a citizen of our world.
The school seeks to provide a safe environment with programs promoting student self-responsibility for behaviour and learning, respect for the rights and needs of others, enjoyment in learning and the pursuit of knowledge and skills for success in the post-school world. This encourages students to become involved in the broader community, to prepare themselves for responsible citizenship, for further learning and for productive working lives.
A deeper understanding of their own multicultural heritage is developed, leading to a greater understanding and respect for the cultures of other people.
The school has extensive grounds, incorporating sporting facilities which, with a hall, library and gymnasium, are shared with Liverpool Girls High School. The proximity of the girls school also gives the opportunity for shared initiatives of benefit to students in both schools.
